Selection Process:
Once funding for the site has been secured, and the beneficiary community identified, Sport For All engages the local municipality for permission to use council facilities to deliver the sports coaching. Having secured the facilities, posters are placed throughout the local community, advertising the franchise and advising where CV's for interested partied can be delivered.
All CV's are considered and a shortlist is drawn up from the highest scoring candidates as per the predetermined franchisee selection criteria. These five candidates undergo an external business skills assessment, where business, language, mathematics and leadership qualities are evaluated, resulting in a recommendation of the strongest candidate.
The five shortlisted candidates taking the Business skills assessment into consideration, are then, all interviewed by the franchisee selection committee, where a final decision is made and the position of franchisee awarded.
Pre-Implementation - Franchise Management System:
Once the franchisee has been appointed, they undergo a week classroom training and on-site operational training. A marketing plan for the next three months is finalised on completion of the classroom training.
Posters are distributed throughout the local community advertising for sports coaches. On completion of the coach recruitment process, approximately 4 coaches initially are appointed as independent contractors to deliver sports coaching and life skills to the children of the local community.
The selected coaches undergo an induction process, which includes an overview of the business, policies and expectations, together with hands on "training the trainer" sessions.
Post Opening - Player Management System:
The franchise kicks off with a community open day to show case the programme to the local community. Thereafter children complete an indemnity and pay a monthly membership fee to receive regular coaching and life skills. The attendance of players and coaches interactions are measured using a smartcard system, designed specifically for Sport For All. This same system is used to calculate wages to the coaches, which are generated through the monthly membership fees.
Sport Coaching and Life skills - SportPlan:
